If you enable both scan list 1 and 2, then you hear both police and fire. If you enable scan list 1 only, then you will only hear police. For example, you can have police in scan list 1 and fire in scan list 2. This allows you to easily enable and disable things you want to hear. When programming and assigning objects to a scan list, you are choosing which scan list you would like that object to be part of for organizing what you want to monitor. The first row displays scan list 1-10, the second row displays scan list 11-20. Once a scan list is enabled, it is replaced by a number to show that it is enabled. Each dot on the display is a disabled scan list. They can be toggled on and off by pressing the corresponding number key (FUNC + number key for scan list 11-20). By default, the scanner has all scan lists turned off. ![]()
